Matt Warman MP on Digital Government

Matt Warman was elected to the UK parliament in the most recent general election in May. But prior to becoming an MP he was Technology Editor at The Telegraph. He took a keen interest in our previous Citizen20Series events so we were keen to catch up with him and get his impressions on digital government now that he’s an ‘insider’.

We have published the interview in full.

We cover a lot of ground in the interview – parliament’s use of digital technology, the new government’s (re)focus on efficiency and reform, the role of GDS, and the changing role of the citizen.

The interview was recorded at InvestNI’s London offices in Westminster. Apologies for the background noise of a pneumatic drill – the roads in Westminster were being dug up yesterday when we recorded the interview.
